Run Pi Gao 潤脾膏 (Source: Sun Simiao’s 孙思邈 (541 - 682) Beiji Qianjin Yaofang 備急千金要方). Use whole plants and add: Sesame Oil 250ml; Beeswax 40g (the more natural, the better). Containers for circa 300 ml (e.g. 12 jars of 25ml). Preparation (if possible): Soak herbs in 250ml Sesame Oil over 9 days (after straining appr. 200ml oil will remain). Indications: Spleen Heat, scorched lips and dryness.

Body and head aches, cough, dyspnea, white expectoration, nasal obstruction or voice loss, due to Lung Wind-Cold Attack (less sudorific action)

Obstruction pain with Kidney and Liver Vacuity with Qi and Blood Stasis, characterized by tremors

Used in Gao form in the acute stages of trauma with swelling, redness, pain and heat of the injured area

Lumbar pain, in the lower portion of the abdomen, painful, frequent and urgent urination or presence of sand in the urine, due to Bladder Damp-Heat (stone)

Headache, aversion to cold, body and head pain and heaviness, light-yellow complexion, loss of appetite, body heat after midday in the initial stage of Damp-Heat striking Qi Level

Thirst due to Qi, Blood and Yin Vacuity

Heart dysphoria (state of discomfort and anxious agitation) with heat on the palms of the hands and sole of the feet

Cough with difficult, abundant and whitish expectorations, with decreased appetite, due to Phlegm-Cold and Qi Stagnation (Lung Phlegm-Cold with Spleen Qi Vacuity)

Cough with bloody expectorations, due to Liver Fire Attacking the Lung

Slight aversion to wind and cold, with slight fever, light cough and thirst, due to Wind-Heat Attack (initial stage)

Pollakiuria, enuresis, nocturnal emissions, amnesia, insomnia, plentiful dreaming, due to Kidney and Heart Vacuity
